Bjorn pose la question :
I'm putting up a shelf and thought I'd be nice and cut the sharp and pointy
corners off. I want to the cut to be at a 45 degree angle, but I also want
the exposed edge to be the same length as from the wall to the beginning of
the cut -- so the end of shelf will look like the first two sides of an octagon.
I've managed to construct the solution, but I haven't been able to calculate it...
Please help!
