ryan pose la question : Good day!
We we're given this assignment in algebra concerning linear inequalities with absolute value.
In this number I'm confused how to isolate the absolute value, considering there is a variable in the absolute value and there is a variable in the outside.
Nathan pose la question : Without the use of trial and error, is there a way of solving for x where |x + 3| = -15x? I know that x = -0.1875, but how do I find whether x + 3 is positive or not if I did not have this information (In other words, how would I solve whether the x-value was -3 or less, or if it was more than -3)? Claude Tardif and Penny Nom lui répond.
